I Rewatched the Scooby-Doo Animated Movies from 1979 to 2004 and Here I Present You My Opinions. The Last Part

Scooby Dooby Doo, Where Are Youuuuuu?

As you have may noticed by my last entry, I love Scooby Doo and I’m rewatching and reviewing every animated movie from 1979 to 2004. By reviewing I’m talking about If I like it or not, what do I like, have I seen it before and stuff like that, dont expect a full on critique of every movie, because probably on each review I will say Daphne is my icon and stuff like that. I have to give a disclaimer (at least I think I need to) I will be giving spoilers but we are talking about Scooby Doo movies so i dont think it is a big deal, but just giving you a heads up.

On this, the fourth and last part of the series of entries, I will be talking about the fourth group of two movies of Scooby Doo, sooo, lets get started.

12.Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico (2003)

Fred has a pen pal called Alejo, who invites him and the gang to Veracruz, México. While the gang is on the way there, El Chupacabras makes his first appearance in the city; when Scooby and his friends arrive to Veracruz, will they confront a real monster or a person playing dress up as an iconic legend?

THIS MOVIE WAS PEAK REPRESENTATION FOR 5 YEAR OLD WHEN I SAW IT. For those who dont know, I live and I am from México, so this Scooby Doo movie has a special place in my heart. I love this movie for so many reasons. First, you can see that the people who made it did their research of México, from el día de muertos to the Pyramids in Mexico City. I like that they use Veracruz for this movie, normally when people use México as a location they go to Mexico City, so bonus points for that (even though at some point of the movie they go to Mexico City). It also has a normal vision of México, it is different from the cliches that you see in movie.

I love how they made the chase at the middle of the movie, they use the whole city for that and it is really cool. One thing I didnt like is the villains, like it is too predictable, at least the man is, but 5 year old me use to be shocked at that reveal. Also, it is really funny how it still applies that rich people and corporations would do anything to help their business. Now lets talk about my favorite thing from this movie, the songs, specially the last one where they just repeat Viva Mexico like 80% of the song omg it is really catchy. Also the credits of this movie are Comic Sans.

In conclusion this movie walked so Coco could run.

My grade to Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico is a 9/10

13.Scooby-Doo! and the Loch Ness Monster (2004)

Scooby and friends travel to Loch Ness in Scotland to visit a castle that belongs to Daphne’s family. The castle hosts the first edition of the Highland Games, but the games might have awaken the Loch Ness monster.

This was a personal favorite for younger me and I still really like it. This movie has a lot of good things, one of them being the backgrounds, they kind of remind me of Lilo & Stitch. It has a good combination of characters and their dynamics make the story and movie go really smooth. Another good thing was the music it is really good for the chase. Talking about the chase, it was really good, I lowkey got scared because I didnt except the monster to show up out of nowhere.

Now lets talk about the fashion of this movie. I want Daphne’s transparent coat, some day I will find one of them, also Dale’s tie dye is amazing. One thing that is really weird is that they had the Mystery Machine in Scotland, even though they are americans. My favorite thing about this movie is the open ending, how they show that even though someone was controlling the monster that was in the movie, there might be one that actually exists.

In conclusion, sometimes the accents of the characters in Scotland were weird.

My grade to Scooby-Doo! and the Loch Ness Monster is a 8/10

I started watching these movies in August to make the series in October but due to the times that my school was taking away from me, it was impossible omg. Then I tried to made them to publish in December but I only made the introduction and first part. So, one day I decided lets do February and publish the first two entries and now here we are omg. I love making this series, and I want to do more like this, so let me know ideas of things you want me to rank. Hope you enjoyed this entry and see you in the next one!!!!
